I’ve worked in marketing sciences for nearly 25 years, and put two insights together and decided to create Data Science for Marketers:

  1. I’ve seen marketers repeatedly struggle to work with data, build strategies and respond to management requests

  2. My clients often say something like “we like you John, as you explain it to us”

So, I want to put these two together to reduce marketer overwhelm on data topics, and have folk confidently building decks, crushing meetings, and having more fruitful relationships with their data science teams.

Hello! I am John and I’m from the UK. I am super-hyped on data science and what it is here to do. I’ve got various business interests, and all are in a data science consultancy capacity. I joined Substack as overall I felt like this is a better outlet for my creativity.

My Background

I have over 20 years’ experience at bringing data science to life at brands large and small. I help brands bring data science out of those dusty PowerPoint decks and into reality. I learnt about business in big corporate, about pace in start-ups, and then went solo which has been wildly successful, working with cool brands and my own projects.
